Meet the Property Management team
About us
Growcott Freer Management is a New Zealand–owned property management company, specialising in both short-term and long-term rentals across Christchurch.
Built on the foundation of Growcott Freer Property’s success in delivering high-quality residential developments, the management arm brings the same focus on detail, presentation, and long-term value into the ongoing care of each home.
Directors Kate Hamilton, Nicholas Growcott, and Isaac Freer are actively involved in the business, ensuring a hands-on, considered approach across every property we manage. With a strong understanding of how homes are designed, built, and lived in, we are uniquely positioned to protect and enhance each asset over time.
Our service spans the full lifecycle of a rental property, from initial set-up and furnishing through to day-to-day management, compliance, maintenance coordination, and guest or tenant experience. We work closely with a trusted network of contractors and suppliers to maintain consistently high standards across every home.
Whether managing a long-term tenancy or a fully furnished short-term rental, our focus remains the same, delivering reliable management, clear communication, and quality outcomes for both owners and occupants.
Our Team

Kate Hamilton
Director
Kate’s journey with Growcott Freer Property began as a client, purchasing her first investment property from Nicholas and Isaac four years ago. Impressed by the design quality, attention to detail, and professionalism of the team, she returned two years later to secure her second property with GFP. Having experienced the process first-hand, Kate brings a unique perspective to the business and a deep understanding of what makes a GFP home stand out.
Born and raised in Canterbury, Kate combines local insight with extensive experience managing both her own and multiple investment properties. Her previous career in the healthcare sector strengthened her skills in organisation, communication, and client care - qualities she now applies across both property management and team support.

Nicholas Growcott
Director
027 337 3447
Nicholas grew up immersed in the building industry, gaining early exposure to craftsmanship and design through his father, one of Christchurch’s most respected architectural builders. Working alongside him, Nicholas learned the fundamentals of construction first-hand and developed the skills that shaped his own career. After becoming a qualified builder and Licensed Building Practitioner, he spent over a decade delivering high-end residential projects, gaining a deep technical understanding and an eye for detail that continues to inform his work today.
As Director of Growcott Freer Property, Nicholas combines that practical foundation with strategic oversight across design, construction, and delivery. He is recognised for his ability to balance architectural vision with commercial performance, while maintaining strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and clients alike.
Nicholas is driven by a passion for creating homes and communities that stand the test of time, with every project approached as an opportunity to raise the benchmark for quality and liveability in Christchurch.

Isaac Freer
Director
027 354 5061
Isaac’s interest in property began at an early age, helping his father with the day-to-day management of his commercial property portfolio. This early exposure gave him a sharp understanding of how property can create long-term value and sparked a lifelong passion for real estate and development. After training and working as a qualified electrician for seven years, Isaac built a solid technical background in the construction industry, but always felt the pull toward property development.
A life long friend of Nicholas, the two worked closely together throughout their respective trades before founding Growcott Freer Property. Today, Isaac combines his practical trade knowledge with strong commercial insight, playing a central role in site acquisition, design coordination, and the financial management of projects. He has a talent for identifying opportunities and bringing together the right team to deliver developments that perform just as well in design and liveability as they do in practicality and value.
As Director, Isaac is focused on driving the continued growth of GFP and delivering developments that not only transform neighbourhoods but also create lasting value for homeowners and investors.
